Summer is just around the corner, which means it’s time to start thinking about getting your body in shape for the beach, the pool, and all of the fun outdoor activities that come with the warmer weather. One of the most effective ways to tone your body and build muscle is through strength training exercises.

Here are five exercises that will help you get ready for summer, all of which can be performed using our exclusive Jacked Up Power Rack:

  1. Deadlifts

    Deadlifts are one of the best exercises for building overall strength and muscle mass. They work your glutes, hamstrings, quads, lower back, and core, making them a great exercise for full-body conditioning. To perform a deadlift, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, grip the barbell with an overhand grip, and lift it off the ground using your legs and back muscles.

  2. Squats

    Squats are another great exercise for building lower body strength and muscle mass. They work your quads, hamstrings, and glutes, and also engage your core muscles. To perform a squat, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, bend your knees and lower your body until your thighs are parallel to the ground, then stand back up.

  3. Bench Press

    The Bench Press is a compound strength training exercise that primarily targets the muscles of the chest, but also works the shoulders, triceps, and core muscles. It involves lying flat on a bench with your feet on the ground and holding a barbell with both hands, lowering the weight down to your chest and then pressing it back up to the starting position. The bench press can be performed with a wide grip, close grip, or neutral grip, and can also be done with dumbbells or cables instead of a barbell.   4. Shoulder Press

    The shoulder press, also known as the overhead press, is a strength training exercise that primarily targets the muscles of the shoulders, but also works the triceps, upper back, and core muscles. It involves standing or sitting with a weight held at shoulder level, then pressing the weight overhead until your arms are fully extended. The shoulder press can be performed easily and safely with the Jacked Up Power Rack.

  5. Seated Rows

    The seated row is a strength training exercise that primarily targets the muscles of the back, shoulders, and arms. It typically involves sitting on a machine such as our Jacked Up Power Rack with your feet on the footrests, grasping the handle with both hands and pulling it towards your torso while keeping your elbows close to your body. The machine provides resistance as you pull, allowing you to work your back muscles without putting undue stress on your joints. This is a popular exercise for improving posture, building upper back strength, and preventing back pain. Proper form and technique are important when performing the seated row to avoid injury and maximize the benefits of the exercise.
